We launched our Kickstarter today. We have a modest goal of $5,000 to fund next year’s worth of issues of Electric Velocipede. This will give us the opportunity to produce the magazine and focus on making great content and securing more permanent means of funding. We’re going to make four issues next year and we want to keep the magazine online to read for free, so this campaign will go a long way towards making that happen.

We have pledge starting at $1. Some of our rewards include back issues, t-shirts, mouse pads, a 2012 calendar of Thom Davidsohn cover art, home-made sweets, editorial critiques, and more. The campaign runs through September 26, 2012.

If you’re curious what the magazine is all about, the current issue—Electric Velocipede #24—is a great place to start. From there you can check out other issues, our awards page, and any other place on the site in order to get a sense of what we’ve done here and what we plan to do in the future.

We’ll update here and on the Kickstarter page as things progress along. Thank you for whatever support you can give!
